I started on the internet super highway at the beginning of 2006. I went to a seminar called the World Internet Summit. Four days later I left thinking I will be making 1000's of dollars by years end. Boy was I wrong.
I actually signed up for a training package that was pretty expensive, but I was garrenteed that I would be making 1000's of dollars when I finished. Yea right, the furthure I got into it the more I realised That I wouldnt recoupe my money any time too soon. So I called it quits and got my money back.

I then tried adsense. Make sites and people will come and click on the ads and Google will pay me for every click. I subscribed to a program that made sites by the dozen within 30 mins or so. The owner of this program claimed he made $30k or more a month. I had made 8000 or more sites and and was making about $300 a month on a good month. Take out domain name purchases and hosting, other programes I had to buy to make it all work.
Didnt leave me much. And beside the money, I spend a lot of hours behind my computer doing it all. Felt like I hadnt moved from here within months.
So anyway the last of my sites died a year later and I was back to square one.

So when you see a site that says, "Make $1000's in a month" then dont fully believe it. If these experts are making 1000's of dollars, why would they need to sell there product? Think about it! thats why they make so much money, because they are selling an idea and you and I buy into it, find it doesnt work and walk away.

So now I am putting up a few sites here and there, learning the SEO part of it and hopefully will make some $$ on the way.
I enjoy it and with fixing computers and designing web sites for my customers, internet marketing is just bonus to that.
It has taken a while but now I am starting to see results for my efforts.
